In the dynamic world of talent acquisition, few individuals embody the spirit of transformation and growth as much as Emily Hassard, Rockbot's dedicated Recruiting Lead. With an unwavering commitment to projects that elevate both our company and its employees, Emily has become a driving force behind Rockbot's success. In this exclusive interview, we delve into Emily's journey, exploring the influences, challenges, and triumphs that have shaped her remarkable career.

What are your favorite projects to work on?
I love working on projects that benefit our larger employee population. Benefits, reviews, and process documentation are examples of projects that have increased value to our organization and employees.

Who are some of your role models in your field?
Rockbot’s VP of People and Culture Kathleen Prior - I started my career in fashion, and when I met Kathleen, she inspired me to pursue a career in tech recruitment. We then worked together as she taught me from the ground up. I would not be where I am today without her.

What do you like most about being a Recruiting Lead?
I love the fact that I have been able to help shape the future of Rockbot. It's especially amazing to see each new hire flourish and help Rockbot succeed. Additionally, I love building relationships with the amazing hiring managers at Rockbot – it truly is a partnership.

What is your favorite part about working at Rockbot?
The people. Over the past two years, I have been lucky enough to create lifelong friendships here at Rockbot. This has truly been the most open and generous group of people that I have come across thus far in my career. I am so appreciative of how much time everyone has taken to help me learn and grow. This truly is a magical group of people that contributes to this unique culture.

What has been the most exciting part of your career so far?
Working at Netflix. While I was at Netflix we grew from 9,000 people to over 15,000 people. Being on a team of over 250 recruiters, I was constantly trying to prove myself. I will say that it did teach me the value of hard work and how to overcome challenges on a daily basis. I think it really set me up for the work we are doing here at Rockbot.

What has been the most challenging part of your career so far?
Here at Rockbot! Although the most challenging in terms of the responsibilities I have taken on, my role at Rockbot has also been the most rewarding. I have loved honing in on HR Operations, Employer Branding, and working with SequoiaOne and Lattice. I am lucky enough to have been given the opportunity to hone in on these new skills and I am so excited for more challenges ahead.

Is there anything else you’d like to share about your experience working at Rockbot or your career in general?
I am grateful every day for the Rockbot company values, the people, and the work that we are all doing. Looking forward to seeing Rockbot’s continued success in the future.

As we wrap up our conversation with Emily, it's clear that her passion for shaping the future of Rockbot is not just a professional endeavor but a personal mission.
