Boost Business with a College Music Playlist

October 2013

Now that school is in session, there’s no better time to create a college music playlist for your bar or restaurant. The right tunes will keep your customers happy—and at your business, longer. (Don't believe us? A 2011 study out of the University of Portsmouth showed that loud music directly boosted alcohol consumption. That said, Rockbot bars and restaurants have also reported increased dwell time and consumption in general—relating more to customer enjoyment and engagement.)

College music is also a big deal these days. October 1 was World College Radio Day with nearly 600 stations participating from 29 countries celebrating the creative wonder that is college radio. It’s a beautiful thing. Student stations not only give young adults a chance to learn the ins and outs of the music industry, but they also regularly play and publicize independent artists thus ever expanding the music world.
