Operators three to five years into their POS lifecycle, the ones running relatively current technology, were the most likely group to report integration and cost-overrun frustration in the same survey. A related survey found that nearly half of restaurant leaders (48%) believe their operating systems aren’t fully integrated. That's a meaningful gap between the promise of an integrated tech stack and what most operators actually experience day-to-day.

It’s also worth asking, before any integration project begins, whether your POS is even the right data source.
